Hi all,
My fiancee & I are moving in to a rented house for the first time together and now as we are moving everything in one place, we thought we should get content insurance. I have contacted 2 insurance companies however I then thought I should get some advice first to help ensure I ask the right companies, the right questions etc..
1) Can I ask what the steps? (i.e. one of the companies suggested I need receipts for any items over 5k. Should I gather all these before ringing around? How do I value my contents? And what happens if I don't have receipts??)
2) Any recommendations for who is the best / least expensive for content insurance in a rented place? (I thought MugsGame's "Best Buy Insurance" post at the top of this forum was v. useful in suggesting a number of good house insurance companies - are they the same for content?)
3) Finally, anything I need to look out for??
