Health Insurance Renewal Advice 2 adults+1 student o/18+1 child u/18

Would really appreciate advice on renewal especially from Snowyb. Two adults in 50's plus a student aged 20 and a child aged 17. With Laya Essential Connect Family for the last few years. Had to pay the excess of E300 each yr. Coming in at E 3106.72 for the next year. Would like to pay a bit less or at least get the best plan available for this price. No particular health issues.

Alternative options for 2 adults as follows;
1. VHI PMI 44 16; price 1050pa; public, private(including private room) and 3 hi-tech hospitals covered, excess 150 per admission or day case.

2. Laya Simplicity; price 1087pa; public, private( including private room) and 3 hi-tech hospitals covered, excess max 100 x 2 per year for admissions, day case 50 per visit, good day to day cover - first 100 not allowed.

17 year old; VHI are best value for children at the moment, details as follows;
1. One + Plan; price 145 per child; public, private and 3 hi-tech hospitals covered, excess 125 per admission or day case.

20 yr old young adult;
1. VHI PMI 12 11; Price 360pa; all public, private and 3 hi-tech hospitals covered. 125 excess
2. VHI PMI 40 15; price 374pa; all public, private and Beacon hospital covered, 75 excess.

Plenty of savings to be achieved overall.
Note; 2 adults can be with Laya and the 2 young people can be with VHI if you want.
