I have recently been made redundant. I am considering doing some work as a self employed person. If this does not work out and I do not get enough work can I then claim job seekers benefit or do I loose that entitlement if I register as self-employed?
AFAIK. If you make a claim after becoming redundant you are automatically entitled, if you register as self employed first any claim would be means tested.
