In september 2005 we had a valuation completed on a home we purchased, and on that the reinstatement (rebuild) cost is 285,000
I've recently changed insurance companies and insured house for 300K. The mortgage company have written to me to state that it should be insured for 350K, or if I can find back up figures to indicate that 300K is enough then that is ok.
Are there any calculators or tables out there to check how reinstatement values have changed? Say increased/decreased year on year?
I've changed the society chartered surveyors but they only give a handfull of counties. we're in Mayo and I couldn't find a cost per sq foot . Any info would be appreciated !
