Re-Using Foundations

Hi - thanks in advance for any help with this....

I have two separate extensions to the rear of my house - total approx 36sq m - split between utility and sunroom but they don't work - approx 15 /10 years old. Haven't got an architect / engineer yet but am considering options for a steel framed box extension for kitchen / diner area. Is it better to
1. Demolish and rebuild one extension on same slab (if it's possible to do so) or
2. Demolish and rebuild smaller extension

Your engineer will be best placed to advice, but a lot will depend on the construction of the current slab and foundations. If the current slab is well insulated and the foundations are sufficient to hold the new load, reusing would be cheaper, but there may be issues running the services required for the kitchen.
