Hi Folks,

does anyone know if the pipes from the stove should be 3/4 or inch? They are both 3/4 at the moment but major problems in this house which I am moving into. Heating is very bad and slow. Someone said these pipes should be bigger. Its a 150 sq m house. 15 KW stove if working correctly.
Is it a big job to change them?

Thanks a lot,

John

The pipework on the unrestricted gravity primary circuit between the stove and your hot water cylinder should be 25mm(1 inch) in diameter. The pipework from the stove to the pumped heating system is 19mm(3/4 inch) in diameter.
Too small a pipe diameter from the stove will lead to circulation problems and boiling water problems.
