Hi all

Not sure if anyone can offer some advice.

Originally from Ireland , moved to the UK in 2007 and have lived here since.

Received a letter from the social welfare to my Irish home address telling me about an overpayment from 2003/2004?? For €1100, supposedly I claimed and worked at the same time which I have no recollection of. I have appealed this however they now have sent a further letter stating they will take legal action if unpaid?

Just wondering as its been appealed naturally I want some more facts/info from them which have not been supplied, secondly I'm no longer an Irish resident so why has this surfaced now? They seem unsure what to do when I ring them so I don't seem to get any straight answers?

Anybody in the same situation as myself any advice would be great.

Thanks

I'm sure when you rang, you rang the number on the letter - what was this number? Members here can google it, and you were unlikely spammed ... (but this quick test will do nothing other than ensure that by testing the validity of what you received)
