Normal Retirement Age: 60 or 65?

Hi,
I recently changed employers. I was in a DB pension scheme, that pension and avc's are deferred until 65. I am now in a DC scheme. I am filling a form to start a Standalone AVC PRSA to try and supplement the relatively poor DC scheme. One question in the form is "Normal Retirement Age?". I have a contractual retirement age of 65, but when I looked at the detail of the DC scheme my Normal Retirement Age in there is 60. Any suggestions whether I should put 60 or 65 in the PRSA AVC form? Are there any implications? I am trying to find out what my employers position will be on their DC contributions after 60, i.e. will they stop, and indeed will I be able to continue contributing! Answers are slow to materialise!
regards,
Ricta

It is going to be 66 in 2014, 67 in 2021, and 68 in 2028 for the state pension. Your new employers need to have a think and update their documentation.

The NRA on your AVC PRSA must be the same as the NRA on the DC scheme you're now a member of. From your post this sounds like 60.
