Hi,

I am wondering if anyone knows an insurance company/broker that deals with non-standard life insurance?

I am currently in the process of buying a house but there is an issue with me getting life cover. I have an appointment to meet a cardiac consultant in October so it looks like my life insurance company wont give me cover until those results are back.

I have spoke to my lender and they say that they may accept a waiver but if possable I would prefer not to go down this route.

Any advise would be appreciated as we are due to complete in about 4 weeks but Im scared that the bank wont let us draw down without life insurance

There is a specialist insurer named Pulse that PIBA insurance brokers have access to. I would think that they may also want to see the results of any tests before offering cover though.

If the bank will accept the waiver then this will allow you draw down, you can then still proceed with your application for life cover. If you were unable to source life cover or a company will not cover you at affordable price, will you still take out a mortgage? If the answer is yes then you may as well go ahead with the waiver.
