Moving office and travel expense

I have been working for the same company for the pass 5 years at the same location. Now we are going to move office. The problem is my house is 10 minutes walk away from current office and that was one of reason I pick this job 5 years ago. Now the new office is going to be 7 miles away and I will need to get a car to travel to the new office.

The question is am I entitled for any help from company towards to travel expense?

Thanks

What does your contract of employment say - if anything - on the matter? I very much doubt that you have any statutory entitlement to compensation. If your job is unionised then ask the union for advice. Otherwise try negotiating with your employer if you see fit and think it's worth it. Note that subsisised travel to/from work will be assessable for BIK income tax/PRSI with some exceptions such as tax saver public transport tickets.
