Would title insurance also apply for purchasing a property where there is an adjoining piece of land incorporated into the property? Would it protect us from actual owner attempting to reclaim possession (Note adverse possession is well over the 12 years needed and nobody actually knows who owns it)

Hi This is an old thread I know but I see some mention of names of insurers that do bonds that indemnify the PRA and understand the contributor did not want to name them in the discussion thread but if they could person message me that would be great.

Thanks

Missing title deeds

Hi Primrose
Would prefer not to mention company names - if you pm me I can give you the information.

Probably should have added this entry here ...

Hi Tracy, I just checked back through my emails and the company that provided the bond in our case was 'First Title Insurance'.

Hi Carmel,

Thank you for all the information you have provided on this topic to date.

I appreciate this thread is now a bit dated, though I wanted to inquire if it would be possible to recommend the solicitor you used to close the transaction? I am currently contemplating the purchase of a property with similar title deed issues and would like to engage professionals who are well versed in this process.

Regards,
Colin
