Folks,

I am due to answer my speeding charge tomorrow in court.

Any advice what to do if I can not attend ?

Circumstances beyond my control.

Brgds,

I thought that you could send somebody on your behalf in situations such as this? Have you consulted with a solicitor?

Re: Miss Court Appearance ?

I havent even spoken to a solicitor.

I was going to attend court myself and just plead guilty to the offence, but now I can't make it.

My kid has been taken into hospital and I cant possibly get to court tomorrow.

Re: Miss Court Appearance ?

If you can at all try to contact the Guard who is bringing the summons against you and explain the circumstances. otherwise I would definately try and have someone appear on your behalf. Good luck with it and I hope you kid is ok.

If you can't get a hold of the Guard to explain your situation, I wonder could you ring the court and explain?

I don't think it goes down too well if it appears that you couldn't be bothered to show up at court.

Get somebody, anybody to go down and explain
