Can 13 year old legally work in the family business over the holidays - it would only be a few hours a week lightwork.

I started working in the family business when I was 11. I am sure there are kids younger than 14 working in family businesses all over the country.

As far as I know there is no minimum age requirement for a child working in a family business. Close relatives working in a family business are exempt from the Protection of Young Persons Employment Act as long as their health and safety is not at risk.

If you are directly related (child of owner) there's no limit afaik.
