I applied for Illness benefit and was told that an investigation into my insurance contributions was pending. That was six weeks ago. Has anyone any idea how long this usually takes and how they check. Just to add the year before my pregnancy I went from Maternity leave to a year of illness benefit and at 32 weeks pregnant I was signed fit to return to work by my doctor. I had managed to obtain a week's work and then applied for Maternity benefit.
