Long Term Stay in Irish Hotel

I am a Dublin resident going to be working in the Midlands during the week for the rest of the year and am sorting out my accommodation - which will be funded from my own pocket.

Do hotels in Ireland typically cut deals for long term stays ?

What percentage of the rack rate would it be ?

Just curious as read in Indo that occupancy rates are about 60%. So it would seem from the hotel's pov that there is a deal to be made.

Any information greatly appreciated.

I'm sure that some hotels do and you have nothing to lose by negotiating. But I wonder if private short term rented accommodation might not maybe be a better/more economical option? Probably depends on exact location but try www.daft.ie etc. to check.

Would you think of doing a short term let www.gumtree.ie avertise short term lets- we ourselves used to let rooms using gumtree and we found it great.
