Hello,

I was wondering if you could help me please. I am an expecting mother and due a baby in March and I will be as a single mother. I am claiming Job Seekers Allowance. I was wondering what I would be entitled too. I am living at home with my parents. I was hoping to go back to work as part time for 20 hours a week from Monday to Friday, am I able to do this and keep my Loan Parents? If you could please help me that woudl be great

Re: Lone Parent on OPF wants to return to work, but how will this affect payment

When the baby is born, you can claim One Parent Family Payment (apply at the office where you currently sign on).

Have a look at the answers earlier in this thread which explain how wages affect your One Parent Family Payment (bear in mind the information above relates to 2009 - there may be changes in the upcoming budget)
