legality of uk transfers? help!

im an irish resident with a non resident hsbc account in the uk. i want to deposit 25k euro and am wondering what the legal ramifications are if I lodge this into the hsbc account? please advise. Im grateful for any responses...

If the money is legit, then there's no problem. You must pay tax on the interest received and let Irish Revenue know about the account, which you probably did when you opened it.
