Hi,

Both my Fiance and I have just received FPP on a site. Now we need to close payment on the site.

Our solicitor has asked whether the Title of the site should be vested in "Your Joint Names as Joint Tennants" or "Tennants in common".

He had previously explained this quiet some time ago, TBH the conversation has become a distant memory. :eek:

Can anyone explain the 2 - and the differences between them ?

Are we mad putting it in both names, would there be any advantages/disadvantages in putting it in just one name ?

Thanks,
Harry.

It's "tenants" by the way. Do the Lawyer.ie definitions of [broken link removed] and [broken link removed] help at all? If not the you might find something useful among . Until you are married you are simply friends as far as the law goes so you might want to cater for this situation . Not very romantic but arguably quite pragmatic.

Thanks Clubman.

"Tenants" :)
Good website - now I'll go digest it.

Harry.
