ajoining sites were sold by a family member in 1992 and 1995. It appears now that site markings were not laid out properly. I am not sure if it is only wrong on map or if the sites are wrong. Anyhow my eldery Uncle keeps getting letters from soliciter about it. I think the first one was maybe 2 years ago........he has just ignored them. Should he get a new survey done, how much would this cost . He is going to get in contact with the soliciter but is very slow about it. Both sites have houses on them but one is up for sale which is why it has come to light.

I would advise your uncle to say he will join in a deed of rectification if :

a. He gets an independent engineer to assess the situation for him and
b. He gets an independent solicitor to assess it for him and
c. He is happy after getting their advice to do so and
d. They pay the costs of his engineer and solicitor.

Thanks Vanilla.....i will tell him that and hopefully he will contact solicitor. It's a pity it wasnt noticed years ago when land changed hands
