Can someone please advise.
My husband receives 370 pw jobseekers for our family. We have recently split up.
He's 62 and our kids are 14 and 16 and want to stay with him. I've been offered a full time job. What will happen to his jobseekers payment now that we are no longer together? Am hopeless grasping all this entitlements etc. please advise.

Call in to or call Citizens Information office, they will work it out for you. Important to know though whether he is on jobseekers benefit or jobseekers allowance.

If you are no longer living together as a family, your husband will lose any increase he was receiving for you. A rate of 370 pw indicates that he's receiving full Qualified Adult rate for you, which is 124.80.

He can continue to claim for himself and the children.

Thank you.

Will he not be obliged to go after her for maintenance?
