Does anyone have any views on the prospects for Japanese equities over the next year?
I invested in a Japanese equity fund earlier this year and I am currently in loss by 23% (after charges).
More concerning, however, is the fact that the fund has been on an endless downward spiral for almost two years. It has halved in value since April 2006.
Is this just an incredibly crap fund that I should get out of immediately... or is there something terribly wrong with the Japanese economy? I would be prepared for those type of falls in a developing market but not in a "stable" economy such as Japan.
