Irish rental income, Portuguese resident and double taxation

Hi all,

I understand that this question is a bit specific but maybe someone has dealt with this scenario in the past. I've just moved to Portugal and under what they call the NHR scheme I'll be under a fairly attractive tax regime for the next few years including 0% on foreign rental income. I'll be renting out my house in Ireland while in Portugal.

I know that I'll have to have a tax agent receive my rent and take 20% for tax (less allowable expenses) in Ireland, my question is do I get a tax credit against income tax from employment in Portugal under double taxation for what I'll pay on rental income in Ireland?

Thanks,
