Motor Insurance after drink driving offence

Hi,
My husband is due to go back on the road on Sunday after a drink driving conviction. He has totally learned his lesson and knows how serious it was so please no criticism on that issue.
Could anyone advise which insurance companies he should try for a quote? My company is quoting nearly €4000 and we really cannot afford that.

His previous insurer is obliged to give him a quote - but as to how much that will be is up to them. He is facing an expensive policy whatever happens.
 
Often those that have had a motor conviction make excellent clients afterwards and a number of insurers recognise that. Depending on your husbands circumstance, ARB, KennCo, Wrightway and some others may quote for you husband. These are all through a broker.
