I've been on Illness Benefit for several months now and have been receiving an increase for my wife and another for a dependant child. My wife has just begun to receive a pro-rata state contributory pension, so does this mean that the increase which I am getting for her, which is less than her pension amount, will now stop? Also, she got a letter yesterday saying that the pension increase for a qualified child which she applied for (she didn't actually apply for anything!) would be granted at the half rate, i.e. €13 per week. Does this mean that the dependant child increase of €26 which I am currently getting on Illness Benefit will be affected?
