Hello,

I have set up a I.T. repair business from home and i was wondering what is the acceptable way to invoice people. Can i use a simple duplicate receipt book? Would revenue accept this way as proof of my earnings?

Thanks

Yes and Yes. A blank one available from any stationers with a simple rubber stamp with your name / business name on each page is sufficient. Cash only business?

That's your invoice-book. If you want to type the entries into a spread-sheet for ease of analysis or reporting of course you can.

Certainly the duplicate book will work fine. But you can buy accounting software for very little money. That will generate an invoice and record the details at the same time. It will look a lot more professional too.
