How long must you work in Ireland to qualify for the State pension?

I have worked in many countries over the years. How many years contribution must you have in order to be able to claim the state pension? Is it on a pro-rated basis or either you qualify or don't?

Presumably you mean the PRSI linked contributory pension since the non contributory pension just requires that you meet the habitual residency and means test qualification criteria (among some others)?
