A recent attempt at installing a stove failed because the fitters couldn't get the flexible flu liner down the chimney. It's a 6 inch wide flexi liner in an 8 inch chimney pipe. They don't know why it won't fit but the spent some time at it and it got stuck somewhere along the way. Maybe due to a series of bends. The say it happens in 10% of cases.
The stove provider claims that it's not ideal but will work fine with an adapter.
