Holiday Insurance - Flight delayed.

Hello,

I was recently on a skiiing holiday to Bulgaria with a group of people about 20 in total. This was a package deal booked through Panorama. The flight going out was delayed by about 4 hours and the flight coming home was delayed by 3 hours. I rang the insurance company (insurance company details provided by Panorama) and they told me that we were only entitled to a claim if the flight was delayed over 12 hours.

I heard or read somewhere that if passengers were delayed 3 hours or more they were entitled to a claim. Is this not the case with package deals.
 
I had several holiday insurance policies over the years and as far as I know all stated 12 hours. I currently have VHI multi-trip and that clearly states 12 hours so that seems to be the norm.
 
Doesn't look like we're entitled to anything back. Thanks for all the help anyway.
