Hi,
We bought our house recently. We are not overly happy with our heating system so we are going to upgrade our ~20 year old boiler to a new condenser one. The boiler upgrade will be around 1,600 which I am happy enough with.

There is the option to upgrade our heating controls also and avail of the the SEAI grant for 700. We have underfloor heating with 12 different zones in a 2000 square foot 2 storey house. We have been quoted an additional 2,000 for this (both parts and labour) which will include wired low voltage digital stats. We would like to get this system in but just wondering if this price seems reasonable or not as I was expecting it to be a lot less than that? Has anybody had this done before and do you consider it worthwhile?

Hi Leo, just one so far. We have another electrician visiting us this evening to provide a second quote.
