Glenamuck Road - cul de sac?

We are looking at a house along the Glenamuck Road in Carrickmines, D18.

I remember from a few years ago there was a plan to open a new main road and cul de sac the existing Glenamuck Road.

I was wondering does anyone know if this is still on the cards and is there any idea or when (or it is very much on the long finger)?
