My father is a retired garda who is now over 70 yrs of age. My mother is over 70 also and worked as a mother/housewife all her life. Last week they told me that my mother is not recieving any form of pension. Surely she is entitled to her own means tested non contributory OAP state pension. My father only ever worked as a garda so recieves his state pension only.
