I have been quoted 6 grand for the following into a 3 bed semi in Dublin:

8 x rads
8 sets of thermostatic valves
New hot water cylinder pre-insulated
New boiler oil condensing
Skip for old rads and boiler
Split system into 2 zones, heating and hot water, fully thermostatic.

Does anyone know is this reasonable? House is about 30 years old, plumber tried flushing system but said whatever was left in system after flusing has solidified onto inside of rads and pipes. Cheers!
 
Are you going with the SEI grant?

Does you heating still work? as in , do your rads get hot?

How did the plumber try flushing? and if whatever is left in system is solidified, will pipework need to be changed?

Does price include VAT?
