I was buying some tomatoes in Lidl the other day, but failed to find a best before date. I asked the till operator about it, but she said that stock was brought in fresh each day so they had no need to date-stamp.
A quick trawl through the Dept of Ag site leads me to believe she was wrong. should I go to the manager, do you think? Part of what bothers me is that when I go to the fridge I don't know which package to use first!
