Laya Flex 250 plus - Renewal 1/2/17 - alternatives?

Hello everybody,
I am looking for advice for my Mom - her health insurance is due for renewal, current renewal quote coming in at 1110.75. I'm wondering are there any cheaper alternatives out there without losing her benefits of the current policy? I have tried the HIA site but I am now totally addled from it. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Two alternative cheaper plans with better cover overall. Details as follows;
1. Control 300 Create; price 972pa; public, private(including private room) and hi-tech hospitals covered, excess 300 per admission, day case excess 125, better day to day cover - no waiting applies to better day to day cover.

2. Simplicity Plan; price 1087pa; public, private(including private room) and hi-tech hospitals covered, max excess 100 x 2 per year, day case
excess 50 per visit, good day to day cover - first 100 not allowed.
