I have been appartment hunting recently and found a place that I liked. I negotiated a fair rent. I was then asked to send refs from current landlord and workplace,bank statements, photocopy of passport and PPS numbers(all both for myself and Mrs Amygdala). My question is this : Are EAs compliant with the Data Protection Act? They have now compiled a lot of information on two individuals. And after all that we were told the landlady had advertised with other EAs and the place is to be let to another individual. So now we have to rely on the first EA to dispose of our documents securely.
