I was out at the Catamaran sailing event in Dun Laoghaire yesterday. Up to 10,000 people are expected to attend over the weekend. Lots of stalls along the pier. Everybody enjoying themselves....but....nobody emptying the litter bins or keeping an eye out on the selfish dog owners not cleaning up after their dogs or keeping them on a lead. The litter was blowing around everywhere from the overflowing bins. What is it with DunLaoghaire Rathdown County Council or the Harbour Authority or whoever is responsible for this event that they could not have had sufficient people there keeping an eye on things!
