Does anyone do business with companies in Greece?
We did business last year and this year, the company is asking us to complete pages of tax forms, have them stamped by the Irish tax authorities and return them to Greece in order to avoid a 20% withholding tax.
Seems a bit unusual as Greece is an EU country - we also supply services to other EU countries and have had no problems with invoices, they're happy just to have our VAT number.
If anyone could shed some light, that would be great. Thanks.
