Motor Did not get no claims bonus

Myself and I where both insured with same company for our car's, I received my no claims bonus via post but my wife's no claims bonus never came.
We only have one car now which my wife is main driver due to been cheaper than if I was.
She is now insured with another company and I have asked for her no claims bonus to be sent out. They said that they sent it with new quote but we never received it just my no claim's bonus with new quote.
They said it will cost 25Euro to reprint, I said that I should not pay due to that I never received it in the first place.
What can I do as the new insurer will be looking for this,

was it not part of the renewal notice? Could you have misplaced it? Do you deal direct with insurer or through a broker. If the latter, could broker have it?
