Hi
I am looking at buying a house that has an old heating system - storage heater that blows heated air through vents into all rooms. I want to fit in a new central heating system. I think I'm going with high efficiency gas boiler. Does anyone have any idea how much this might set me back. It will need bolier, piping, rads controls etc.
Would appreciate any comments based on experience.

Cheers

Don't forget to apply for your SEI grant of €700.

How many bedrooms has the house? You would be doing well to get an eight radiator system, plus cylinder for 5K inc VAT.

Hi
Thanks for the response. Its a 3 bed house, 1bathroom, kitchen, dining room and converted garage.
DavyJones, would you have anyother quotes?

In Limerick we did a few that worked out about €5800 inc VAT. If you are in Dublin it will be higher. Shop around and get recommendations.

When I first started off here I was amazed with how few people would ask for references, when i worked in the UK it was common [practice.

You will need to use a RGII, for any and all gas work. Type their name into the www.rgii.ie database. If they are there, you know they have current insurance.
