Christy Dignam

Yes a sad day, even shed a tear when watching the six one news which doesn't happen often
I'd never heard of Aslan until a friend of mine said they were going to a free concert beside the Ilac centre in summer of 88
And wow from the moment they walked on stage I was hooked and have seen them three times live now including the gig they did in the Playwrite pub on Newtownpark Avenue in the late nineties and it didn't matter whether it was a big crowd or a small crowd they always put on a great show and are up there in my top three concerts, the others been Prince in cork and U2 in Slane

I thought Dave Fanning's comments were out of order. Very bad taste so close to the man's death. If he had nothing good to say, he should just have shut up.

I saw them live once at a festival and they gave a great show.

He was a mesmerising frontman, in terms of others I've seen a bit like Dave Gahan from Depeche Mode.
