Charge for document?

If I contact the solicitor I used for my house purchase to get a copy of a document signed, will there be a charge? If so, does anyone know what sort of price it would be?

On a related note, does anyone know where one could get a copy of the standard management company contract that would be signed on purchase in a managed development?

If you purchased a few years ago and have a mortgage, then your solicitor will not have any of your Deeds, they will be with your lender and you can apply to them for a copy of your Lease and the agreement to transfer the common areas to the Management Company. If the purchase was recent your solicitor may still have your Deeds and is unlikely to charge for giving you a copy.

You can also just ask the Management Company for a copy of the (standard) Lease which should make it clear what obligations the Lessees and Management Company have.
