Change of name by deed poll

Hi - if I change my name by deed poll - do I need to request a new pps number from social services? Will my old pps mumber and new pps number be linked? i.e. will there be a record of my old pps number attached to the new one?

I dont think you need a new pps number if you change your name. Women who marry and change their names dont get a new pps.

You will keep your current PPSN - if you send the appropriate documents to SW, they can change the name details on their records.
