Motor Car insurance for 2-3 months

Am moving over to the Uk in the next couple of months, no fixed date yet. My car insurance is up and I didnt want to insure car for a full year as will not be in Ireland but am bringing my car over to the Uk and want to get insured over there. Does anybody know if this is possible and if so what companies do it? Thanks

You have to insure it for 12 months unfortunately. Just stick with the same company you have been with previously and you will likely get a pro-rata return when you cancel the policy unless you have had a claim since renewing it.

You could put the premium on a monthly direct debit & then advise the Insurers when you are emigrating & mutually cancel the premium plan. That way you won't have to fork out the full annual premium.
