Car insurance claim query

I was recently involved in a car accident where the other driver has admitted liability. The damage to my car is approx 2,500 but his insurance company only value my car at 900. They have offered me 900 despite the fact that similar cars to mine are selling for approx 1600 on carzone. My car was in perfect working order and I had no intention of getting rid of it for another couple of years but now through no fault of my own I could be out of pocket. Is there anything I can do? I really just wanted to get my car fixed.

Probably its the 3rd parties assessor that is putting this preaccident value on your car. You are entitled to appoint your own assessor ro assess your car and give his pre accident value. You could also go to a solicitor who could help you process a claim for loss of earnings, depreciation, rental car etc.
