Can you use a combi boiler with no mains water

I have a combi boiler and we have no water at the moment.

Is it safe to use the combi with no mains water for heating?

Yes, a combi boiler will heat the house during a tempoary failure of the supply for heating ONLY.

DO NOT turn on the hot water tap. The unit will generally have a fail safe where it will shut down if you do happen to turn on the hot water tap and there is no incoming water.
