Just wondering whether anyone knows if someone on JA allowance can apply for social welfare in Britain? I know that people getting JB can get the same rate for up to 13/14 weeks, but I just don't know what the situation is for those on JA.

Appreciate any help.

Jobseeker's Allowance is not transferable outside Ireland as it is a means-tested payment.

A person can make an application for Jobseeker's Payment in the UK and will be subject to the rules applied to the UK scheme.
