Can anybody help me please.
Can I insure a car that I do not own. The car is my step fathers but he is currently not using it.
Also, is it possible to have two separate car insurance policies?
I already have a car but want to have the use of this other car too.

in theory you can. If you own two care, you can insure two cars. Why does your step father not insure it? You can only insure that which you have an insurable interest in. However, if the car is registered and owned by your father in law, then you MAY be able to drive it under your own policy, IF you have driving other cars. Read your policy booklet to make sure. Also, remember you only have TP cover when driving other cars, irrespective of the cover on your own car policy
