Can I get maternity benefit while on UB?

Hi all,
I'm getting jobseekers benefit until the end of May and I've just found out I'm pregnant. Does anyone know if the credits you get on JB might count towards a claim for maternity benefit?

Maternity Benefit is paid to women who are in insurable employment up to the first day of their maternity leave. The last day of work can be within 16 weeks of the end of the week your baby is due. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that you will have an entitlement if you don't get employment before that.
