Apologies in advance if this has been answered already.
Can a milage allowance be used to offset tax on rental income?
Although I use a Management company (costs 1 months rent), I generally have to visit the property a number of times a year....inspection visits, repairs etc....this involves a round trip of over 200miles.
Somebody suggested to me that I should be claiming milage and meal allowance. Is this so? Most of my visits involve a meeting with the management company so dates of travel can be confirmed.
