Have relatives who are going to reroof an old hall extension - its just adds 5m2 of hallway/floor space ...an extension that was added 30+ years ago. When the roof comes off, the wall cavity will be exposed. Was thinking it would be a good opportunity to fill with bonded bead.
Q.1. Is there any issue in doing this?
Q.2. Is it possible to buy small quantities of this stuff and put it in ourselves? This is such a small job (probably 9 linear metres of single story cavity fill required) that it wouldnt be economic to get one of these cavity fill contractors out to do it. Can the stuff be bought and if so, in what form is it supplied in ?
